An opportunity for development of the tourist habitat. Case study: Tlacolulan, Veracruz

Tourism in Mexico has gained relevance for the public and private sectors. Likewise, development policies in different geographic scales of the country favor local community participation and are an important source of income from the uses of the territory, from spatial development, social relations, to the improvement of the place with a social, cultural, political and economic sense. The objective of this work was to promote the efficiency of heritage, biocultural and tourist services and attractions in the town of Tlacolulan, Veracruz, in the central mountainous zone of the state. The economic, social and environmental axes were taken as a basis, and a mixed methodology was used. As a conclusion, it was determined that this project strengthens this community through architecture with the proposal of a Tourist Corridor respectful of nature, without exhausting it and that the community has the capacity to obtain economic resources through the activities carried out.
