Tourism and heritage. Assessments on recent initiatives and experiences in the Central Argentine Dairy Basin

Recently, a series of tourism initiatives focused on heritage (cultural-natural, material-immaterial) have been deployed on the territory of the Central Argentine Dairy Basin. However, a critical study of these experiences has not yet been verified within the framework of land use planning nor with heritage considerations. This article aims to recognise the goods that have been involved in these initiatives and the existence of tourism regards towards them, whilst inspecting their relationship with the afore-mentioned activity and the use of planning instruments in their design. To achieve this, a qualitative methodology with a strong feature of cartographic work was used, and maps were generated that made it possible to find relationships among data of different origins. The results express variety and disparity among the experiences analysed and depending on the goods used, as well as little appeal to planning instruments focused on tourism, and incipient signs of patrimonialisation.
