It is with great satisfaction that we present Volume 19 (2026) of the Paranoá journal, marking a new cycle in its editorial trajectory.

The recent achievement of the Qualis A2 qualification in the CAPES journal classification for 2021–2024, represents relevant recognition and consolidates the continuous process of strengthening the journal. This advancement reaffirms our commitment to scientific quality, methodological rigor, editorial ethics, and the dissemination of research that contributes consistently to the fields of architecture, urbanism and related areas.

In line with the strategy to increase international visibility and the academic impact of published research, starting in 2026, all accepted works submitted in Portuguese or Spanish must be translated into English prior to publication. This measure aims to expand the global reach of the scientific production carried by Paranoá, strengthening academic exchange and the journal's international integration.

This volume also inaugurates the reformulation of the Design and Planning section, which will now be named Design, Planning, and Landscape. The expansion of the scope seeks to more explicitly include works that address the integration between built areas and natural elements, promoting reflections on the balance between the urban environment, territory, and landscape in its multiple technical, environmental, cultural, and social dimensions.

The Paranoá Journal maintains its commitment to the continuous flow publication model, receiving articles in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. It also reaffirms its open access policy, with no submission, processing, or publication fees, ensuring the democratization of scientific knowledge. We invite researchers to explore this new volume and submit their contributions through the journal's portal in Submissions.

We remain committed to strengthening Paranoá as a qualified space for debate, production, and the circulation of knowledge.
