The Brazilian Journal of Anthropological Linguistics (RBLA) publishes studies on native languages ”‹”‹and cultures, including lexicon, phonology, grammar, semantic systems and fields, cultural classifications of plants and animals, ethnogeography, ethnohistory, onomastics, kinship systems, linguistic and cultural prehistory , human genetics, language contact, obsolescence and linguistic revitalization processes, text and discourse analysis, verbal arts, ritual language, and linguistic expressions of gender distinctions.

The interface of Linguistics with Archeology, Anthropology, History and Botany is of fundamental interest to the Journal. Studies on interpretations and discussions of archival material, edited historical documents and contributions to the history of the field of anthropological linguistics are very welcome.
