Abstract

More than 60 years after the publication of The Structural Transformation of the Public Sphere: An Inquiry into a Category of Bourgeois Society, originally published in 1962, Jürgen Habermas revisits the subject and publishes A New Structural Transformation of the Public Sphere and Deliberative Politics [Ein neuer Strukturwandel der Öffentlichkeit und die deliberative Politik]. These new reflections, from 2023, aim to address the profound changes the public sphere has been undergoing in the context of the accelerated process of digitization of communications and the new informational regime that has been emerging with the increasing dominance of social media platforms.

Bruno Pimentel Franceschi Baraldo, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

Possui Licenciatura em Matemática (2009), Bacharelado em Filosofia (2016) e Mestrado em Filosofia (2021), sempre pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). É doutorando pelo PPGFIL-UFRGS. Tem experiência no ensino de Matemática e Filosofia, tendo atuado, ao longo dos últimos anos, em diferentes níveis em instituições do Rio Grande do Sul
