This article deals with the human body described in Heidegger’s phenomenology. Initially, we expose the body seen by the natural sciences, which in German is expressed by the term Körper, and discuss the inability of the natural sciences to analyze the body as a phenomenon. Then, we present the human body as a phenomenon, which in German is called Leib, explain the gesture as a movement of the body and e the body’s ability to perceive.
