Abstract

The work examines how spaces and times are built and combined in the post-colonial context of the African short story in English language, having as its focus the narratives of Alex La Guma, Grace Ogot and Chinua Achebe. It analyzes a number of elements that set up space in its relationship with temporality, historical or not, checking and questioning his moving and processual quality, which reflects the arrangement of characters that represent post-colonial subjects, also incomplete and changing.
