Abstract

O Naufrágio is a scenic installation created from excerpts from The Tempest by William Shakespeare and from O Marinheiro, by Fernando Pessoa. In the direction of Silvia Davini, the themes addressed in both texts emphasize the value of the dream to existence. The shakespearean characters, fond of dreams and magic, as well as Pessoa's heteronyms, figure in the specular acting game opened by Sulian Vieira. Sound universes, invented by César Lignelli, seduce or nauseate the characters and audience by the becomings of the scene. Asssembling craftsmanship and digital technologies of sound and image - which allow us to circulate within the limits of identity, fiction and memory - O Naufrágio tensions death and creative power.

Sulian Vieira, Universidade de Brasília - UnB, Brasília/DF, Brasil

Doutora em Arte pela Universidade de Brasília (2013), Mestra em Applied Theatre pela University of Manchester-RU (1999) e Bacharel em Interpretação Teatral pela Universidade de Brasília (1995). Professora Adjunto da Departamento de Artes Cênicas da Universidade de Brasília nas graduações e pós-graduação nos eixos de voz, palavra e atuação, gêneros performáticos e a questão do estilo nos processos pedagógicos e estéticos para o teatro contemporâneo. Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Vocalidade & Cena.

Silvia Davini, Universidade de Brasília - UnB, Brasília/DF, Brasil

Ph.D in Theater from the University of London Queen Mary College (2000) and Degree in Music with Specialization in Singing from the Municipal Conservatory of Buenos Aires (1988). Researcher, singer, actress and director. Creator of the Vocality & Scene Research Group. His book "Cartografias de la Voz en el Teatro Contemporáneo. El Caso de Buenos Aires a fines del siglo XX" (2008), recognized with the XI Teatro del Mundo Prize, is the Spanish version of his Ph.D. Thesis "Voice Cartographies in Contemporary Theatrical Performance: an economy of actor's vocality on Buenos Aires stages in the 1990s". The book was published in Portuguese in 2019 by the Graduate Program in Scientific Arts and the Department of Performing Arts at the University of Brasília (UnB). Her last theatrical production was in O Naufrágio as director, in 2010. She was a professor at the Department of Performing Arts at UnB and a researcher with a Master's and Doctoral degree in the Graduate Program of the Instituto de Artes at UnB, until 2011, the year of her death .

César Lignelli, Universidade de Brasília - UnB, Brasília/DF, Brasil

Associate Professor of Voice and Performance at the Department of Performing Arts (CEN) and at the Graduate Program in Art (PPG-Arte) and Graduate Program in Performing Arts (PPG-CEN) at the University of Brasília. Post-Doctorate at the Advanced Program for Contemporary Culture at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2014 - 2015). He holds a PhD in Education and Communication, FE/Universidade de Brasília (2011); Master in Art and Technology in the research line Compositional Processes for the Scene, IDA/UnB (2007); Graduated in Performing Arts from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2000). Leader of the Vocality & Scene Research Group (CNPq since 2003). Editor of the periodical Voz e Cena. Member of VASTA Voice and Speech Trainers Association (since 2016). Author of the book Sons e(m) Cenas (2014 and 2019 - second edition), co-organizer of the book Practices, Poéticas e Devaneios Vocais (2019) and numerous articles published in qualified periodicals. He frequently develops aesthetic productions in partnership with the theater groups Desvio, Sutil Ato, alaOca, Teatro do Concreto and Trupe dos Argonautas.
