Questões metodológicas que cercam a produção científica em psicologia -
O caso das pesquisas sobre locus de controle no contexto organizacional

O trabalho discute algumas questões que cercam a produção científica em Psicologia, tomando como foco de análise os estudos que relacionam a variável locus de controle (Rotter, 1966) com vários produtos e características do contexto organizacional. Uma amostra de 23 relatos de pesquisa foi analisada com o objetivo de identificar as decisões metodológicas básicas que caracterizam os estudos na área e os seus principais problemas. Tais características foram confrontadas com os imperativos metodológicos que embasam a Análise Experimental doComportamento (Sidman, 1974 e Johnston e Pennypacker, 1980),ma-peando-se os pressupostos epistemológicos que marcam as duas tradições de investigação na Psicologia. Discute-se a possibilidade dos impasses que cercam a pesquisa atual sobre locus de controle serem minimizados observando-se algumas recomendações metodológicas e de postura do investigador oriundas da Análise Experimental do Comportamento.
