Abstract

The article tries to put in the light of agro-ecological debate a relevant theme, namely the possibility of through the adoption of the technical bases, methodological, epistemological and policies of Agroecology provide answers to the five axioms of Heinberg mentioned in this text, and that deal the possibility of seeking sustainability in socio-economic systems. The content seeks a didact trajecto try, first making a brief background of where comes the theme idea, ie, a set of environmental problems, through a theoretical and conceptual approach to Agroecology, which can give support to the central argument of the author, that is, the Agroecology is the only way to build agriculture and new forms of more sustainable rural development. From there, the five axioms are introduced and discussed in order, albeit very briefly, according to the size of the space, to reflect on how the adoption of the Agroecology principles could give answers to the puzzle that is born of five axioms.
