Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of vegetable extracts Crotalaria juncea cultivated under different spacing and plants densities on the germination of corn (Zea mays L.) and bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.).The experiments consisted in two steps: the first was stage planting of Crotalaria juncea to obtain material for the extraction of volatile allelochemical; and second, steps preparation for extracts and performace of bioassays. Statements were prepared using crushed leaves. Evaluations were made on the seventh day after sowing seeds. The data of germination and development were submitted to analysis of variance and grouping by Skott Nott at 5% level. The increasing the density of sowing reducing spacing of the planting of Crotalaria juncea, promoted significant action alellopathic on seed cornand beans. The bean has greater susceptibility to extract Crotalaria juncea when compared to maize.
