Soluciones basadas en la naturaleza para la adaptación al aumento del nivel del mar: una revisión sistemática

Resumen

Uno de los efectos del Cambio Climático es el aumento del nivel del mar, teniendo numerosas consecuencias negativas para las ciudades costeras, especialmente para aquellas más vulnerables o mas pobladas. Simultáneamente, se está ampliando la investigación sobre soluciones de adaptación que integran los sistemas humanos y naturales, como las soluciones basadas en la naturaleza (SBN), alentando la adopción de estrategias de mitigación y adaptación más resilientes. Por lo tanto, este artículo tiene como objetivo una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre técnicas de SBN implementadas en regiones costeras en escenarios de aumento del nivel del mar para comprender las brechas, los desafíos y el potencial. Los resultados mostraron que aún existen pocas publicaciones sobre el tema, principalmente en los países en desarrollo, y que la efectividad de las SBN está ligada a las condiciones físicas, culturales y socioeconómicas del lugar, no siendo, por tanto, efectivas en todos los escenarios.
