Abstract

The Normal Delivery Center (CPN) of São Sebastião / DF, also named the House of Delivery in São Sebastião, is a unit of the Unified Health System (SUS) that provides care to low-risk pregnant women in the Eastern Health Region of the Federal District who want a humanized birth in the public health network. Created in 2001, with the objective of attending and conducting normal delivery, it is composed of 4 PPP rooms (pre-delivery, delivery and postpartum) and aims to meet the entire gestation demand by giving birth to the proposed line of care by the Stork Network. In 2011, the Ministry of Health (MS) created this care network as a public policy strategy that systematizes and institutionalizes a model of care for childbirth and birth. However, the lack of support infrastructure makes the actions proposed by the network unfeasible. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate and implement viable solutions. Based on the post-occupation evaluation (APO) of the House of Delivery in São Sebastião, the existing project from the architectural point of view, considering the physical space and its environmental comfort (thermal, light and sound), the users' perception, companions and employees) through the application of a questionnaire and compliance with current legislation. In view of the information obtained, the intention is to identify the main aspects that need improvement, aiming at a sustainable architecture, that qualifies the environment.
