Abstract

This article presents preliminary progress of research about the environment quality of tourist that comes to the suitability to real estate developments relative to local zoning and particular and distinctive physical-geographic characteristics
of areas in question. The case study areas are two touristic developments have been selected: Riviera de São Lourenço, Bertioga, Brasil and Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal that situated in environmentally different areas both are located near the sea and have similar necessities in particular to offer tourists familiar urban quality of living. The analysis of urban plans where urbanism and preservation of natural environment are equally important may be helpful in current struggles facing architects and urbanisms heading these challenges.
