Alegory. Landscape. Walter Benjamin.Abstract
The present proposal is based on the theme of allegory and landscape, particularly through the Benjaminian analysis of allegory and tragic drama. It is within allegory that the elements of historical place are inscribed like a seal, without necessarily reflecting society; it constitutes the way in which the world is understood. It is this historical content that is implicated in the notion of landscape. A landscape that becomes appropriated by allegory. The landscape would be a form of ordering, limiting, and approaching the language apprehended, in a way that brings it closer to the real world. Nature, in this relationship, is immediate and unexperienced, merely a mediated and suppressed passage. In this perspective, the aim is to analyze the notion of landscape as a construct arising from human demand, but for this, it is also necessary to articulate the notion of allegory.
