Abstract

Jürgen Habermas published his first work in 1962, at the age of 32, titled Strukturwandel der Öffentlichkeit: Untersuchungen zu einer Kategorie der bürgerlichen Gesellschaft. This remarkable work is his best-selling book. In it, Habermas employs the concept of “public sphere” (Öffentlichkeit) as a category to analyze bourgeois society, conducting a socio-historical and political-economic analysis of the emergence and decline of the bourgeois public sphere.

Author Biography

Keberson Bresolin, Universidade Federal de Pelotas

Formado em Filosofia pela Universidade de Caxias do Sul (2005) e em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2020), completei meu mestrado (2007) e doutorado sanduíche (2012) na Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, este último em colaboração com a Universidade de Tübingen, Alemanha, orientado pelo ilustre professor Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Otfried Höffe. Em 2013-2014, fiz meu pós-doutorado tambem na Universidade de Tübingen com Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Otfried Höffe com bolsa da Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung. Atualmente, sou professor na Pós-Graduação em Filosofia no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel) e professor colaborador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da Universidade Federal de Rondônia. Estou também como coordenador do Curso de Licenciatura em Filosofia Ead/UAB/UFPel. Faço parte do Banco de Avaliadores do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Superior (BASis) do INEP/MEC. Tenho interesse pela Filosofia Kantiana, bem como pela intersecção entre a Filosofia Política e do Direito na contemporaneidade.
