Writing allows you to strengthen the language. Poems record the writing of events, knowledge and natural phenomena that are part of the philosophy of the Kaqchikel Maya people. They also record the experiences that reflect the community’s way of seeing the world. The content of the writings also serves as a reflection, not only to protect the language but to guide the attitude of the human being towards good living, in community, as the grandparents have been doing, great teachers and sages, who have inherited from our ancestors, all those cultural practices that protect science, knowledge and wisdom of a whole people.
