PELA BUSCA DO “BICHO-FERA” EM “O BÚFALO”, DE CLARICE LISPECTOR, E AS CONTRIBUIÇÕES CRÍTICAS DE EVANDO NASCIMENTO

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article aims to reflect on the vocation or call to the savage in the short story “O Búfalo”, from the book Laços de Família (2009), by Clarice Lispector (1920-1977). For this, we will resort to critical studies by Evando Nascimento (1999, 2004, 2012, and 2013), in which we will highlight his approach, whose intersections are placed in the invitation to thought by strangeness and animal drive. In this way, we will revisit Nascimento's arguments, mainly in his book Clarice Lispector: Uma leitura pensante (2012), highlighting them as a fundamental interpretative contribution to insert Claricean fiction in new and current readings. Thus, we will problematize the animal appeal as an issue that develops in the refusal of the domesticated as opposed to the will to encounter the “beast-beast”, represented by the buffalo, in a process of becoming, in the way Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari thought (1980). Along with the latters, we will also highlight the reflections of Jacques Derrida (2002), an important intellectual to dialogue with a literature that, when inserting the savage, particularizes his thinking ability.
