Since 2015, the refugee flows to Greece and Italy have intensified. As of July 2017, the estimated number of children and teenager refugees in the country was 18,500, of which 2,350 were unaccompanied. The Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs took the initiative to prepare a plan for the integration of refugee children and teenagers in education, in order to contribute to their broader social inclusion. The interview with professor Lina Venturas presents the challenges that this committee faced and the impact of the program from 2017 to 2020.
