Abstract

The classical education, centered on the teacher's orality and students' passivity, is still found today in regular education and EJA classrooms. Its maintenance is justified on the grounds that it is the best way to teach and because demand less work, or even because of the scarcity of didactic tools aimed at EJA. However, fortunately, there is already a great concern among some teachers in presenting to the students a contextualized Physics. However, as far as we know, until now there was no material in the literature that compiles (in an organized way) the physics that can be explored in the houses, because of this, we decided to develop this educational product in the National Professional Master's Degree in Physics Teaching of the SBF (MNPEF-SBF). For example, the microwave device is used to study the interaction of radiation with matter, and the refrigerator to explain some concepts of thermodynamics. The material also presents a section called myth or truth, and a section with tips for good use of the equipment. As a result, we found that most students really liked the proposal presented here. Only few students said they did not like or found the material not easy to understand. Our wish is that this material can contribute to a change in the educational reality of Brazil, and that students can be able to learn Physics and apply it in their daily lives.
