Abstract

It is not uncommon to hear reports that high school physics teachers face difficulties with the lack of motivation of their students, given that what is often taught in classrooms does not seem to contain, effectively, a relationship with student's daily lives. The use of art - music in particular - presents itself as a potential methodological tool capable of attracting student's attention to Physics, which can make the learning of this discipline more pleasant, endowed with critical meaning, in a dialogic perspective. In this sense, this research project in Physics teaching propose to analyze the biases of teaching and learning relationships about the concepts of acoustics, using music as a background for classes and the guitar as a practical example of the phenomena studied. This application, at first, will be carried out in the high school classes of Over Colégio e Curso, a private school located in the north zone of the city of Natal/RN, on the first half of November of 2022, with the intention of applying it, in future opportunities, also in public schools in the city. Therefore, we developed an application script, subdivided into Pedagogical Moments. Finally, we intend to analyze if this proposed teaching approach is capable of bringing an improvement in the learning of the concepts related to acoustics.
