Abstract

The recent implantation of the Common National Curriculum Base (CNCB) brings new challenges to the teaching-learning processes in the school and academic environment. The official text proposes thematic units that should direct the pedagogical actions of science teachers in Elementary School. One of these units is called Earth and Universe, in which is recommended to conduct dialogues about themes like Stellar Evolution and Human Life off Earth with the students. Understanding the multiplicity of speeches and polyphony existing in the interpretation of official texts, it’s discussed what is the conceptual basis of Physics and Astronomy that would be necessary, in order to they feel more secure in their future professional practice. After the data analysis, reflections on the training of science teachers were developed based on what is established in the CNCB.
