Abstract

Teachers face the challenge of intervening in learning with new ways of teaching physics content. Having this perspective, the present work has as research problem to investigate how to use the Arduino platform in the teaching of electrodynamics contents (electric current, resistors and resistor association) in physics classes with students of the third year of high school. The general objective is to verify the contribution of the use of the Arduino platform in the teaching and learning of electrodynamics contents from the perspective of Vygotsky's socio-interactionist theory, emphasizing the social interaction between students through the mediation made by the teacher. And as a secondary objective we have the analysis of the advantages of developing a set of experiments with the Arduino platform that can help the teacher in a collaborative investigative perception. Three scripts of experimental practices are proposed containing the information and procedures for carrying out the experiments, and in each experimental practice the Arduino platform is used. To measure the effectiveness of the pedagogical intervention, questionnaires were applied to verify the learning after the end of each experimental practice, as well as behavioral observation of the students before the activities, thus composing a qualitative approach in the analysis and discussion of the results, which allowed to verify that these experimental activities applied in this work resulted in a significant learning of the subjects addressed. There is the possibility of applying experiments with the Arduino platform in other physics content, where the limiting factor is the teacher's knowledge of electronics and Arduino IDE programming.
