Abstract

It is noticeable the difficulty we have in transmitting Physical knowledge to Surd students (PAIVA, 2016), today we know that due to the development and growth of man this becomes increasingly easy, but it was not always that way, the Surd were treated for a long time as useless , incompetent and abnormal, during that time they were deprived of their basic rights, however they started to fight for their own rights. One of the factors that helped in the conquests was the change in the educational scope introduced by Monk Pedro Ponce de Leon, and today this initiative is disseminated in Brazil in public schools that welcome Surd students. The transfer of knowledge to these students is in a specific way, it is not an easy task, since there are terminologies specific to the discipline taught, such as Physics, which has a technical vocabulary and concepts that are taught in an abstract way, and in this way, interpreters need more time even to enable and translate concepts. In view of this analysis, the need to examine the difficulties in exposing the contents of Physics to Surd students in some public schools in the city of São Luís - MA was awakened, in order to analyze methods that can contribute to the understanding of classes of Physics.
