Hunger. Food insecurity. Migration. Human rights.Abstract
The research aimed to identify and discuss the vulnerabilities related to the problem of hunger and food insecurity among migrants and refugees through an integrative literature review. The analysis was based on the theoretical and normative support of the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights, an international document that deals with bioethical issues at the interface between human rights and includes, issues related to hunger, vulnerability and protection. The confrontation between the results of the research and the analytical framework allowed us to understand the various forms of human rights violation of this population, which has the most dramatic aspect of hunger. Thus, nutritional interventions should promote the development of a safe and comprehensive food culture, taking into account socio-economic and cultural contexts, while investigating the structural causes of hunger and the phenomenon of migration.
