Comportamento diurno do besouro desfolhador Chrysolina sanguinolenta L. em canteiros de cultivo de couve chinesa (Brassica rapa L. subsp. pekinensis (Lour.) Hanelt): potencial para subsídio ao manejo ecológico

Resumen

Visando contribuir para a produção de conhecimentos que subsidiem o manejo ecológico de besouros desfolhadores, estudou-se o comportamento diurno do besouro desfolhador Chrysolina sanguinolenta L. durante um ciclo de cultivo em canteiros de couve chinesa (Brassica rapa L. subsp. pekinensis (Lour.) Hanelt). Foram feitas 5 campanhas para coleta de dados em campo ao longo do ciclo de cultivo (47 dias). Dados biológicos e de comportamento dos besouros e do microclima foram registrados. Dados etnoecológicos também foram obtidos junto ao agricultor proprietário. A análise dos dados revela padrões em duas escalas temporais distintas: (1) ao longo do ciclo de cultivo e (2) ao longo do dia (nictemeral). Os padrões observados sugerem uma relação da atividade de C. sanguinolenta com o ciclo nictemeral do microclima e do ciclo de vida do besouro com o ciclo de cultivo de B. rapa. A compreensão de tais padrões pode subsidiar decisões sobre o manejo e controle dos insetos praga.

Leon Maximiliano Rodrigues, Universidade Estadual do Rio Grande do Sul

Doutorando pela Universidade Aberta (UAb, Lisboa), Mestre em Ecologia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, 2002) e Graduado em Ciências Biológicas/Ecologia pela Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC, 1999). Atualmente atua como Técnico de Laboratório na Universidade Estadual do Rio Grande do Sul (Uergs, 2018-Atual) e como guia e educador ambiental na Fundação Gaia - Legado Lutzenberger (2015-Atual). Tambeém possui experiência com docência do ensino superior (6 anos) e consultoria ambiental. Na instituição onde atua faz parte das seguintes comissões: Comissão Central de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação (CCPPG), Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP-Uergs), Centros de Operações de Emergência em Saúde para a Educação (COE-E Local). Atualmente desenvolve projetos sobre Alfabetização Ambiental e Agrobiodiversidade.
