Abstract

The article search theoretical and epistemological issues on the different dimensions (science, practice and movement) of Agroecology, without proposing a wide separation between these three parts due to the degree of coiling and existent functionality. The Agroecology has a legitimate scientific content and contributes to the understanding of agri-food systems in ecological, agricultural, social and nutritional terms, through the development of concepts and practices in their structural and functional aspects and spatio-temporal scales, including causes and consequences. In this perspective some assumptions necessary for Agroecology are considered and highlights the need to incorporate more ethnoscientific aspects, by means of the research reorientation and intersecting of disciplinary boundaries, but without oneness of scientific vision.
