Dairy waste product as alternative fertilizer for the consortium between black oats and ryegrass and its effects on the forage production and bromatological quality
Keywords:
organic fertilization, grasslands, nutrientsAbstract
The objective of this study was to evaluate the production ofdry matter, fiber content, calcium, magnesium and protein of the of oat black and ryegrass consortium under mineral fertilizer and organic fertilizer. The treatments consisted of: witness, without fertilization; only mineral fertilizer; organomineral, 50% mineral and 50% manure of dairy; and only manure of dairy. The effect of the treatments on the forage production and protein content were associated with the presence of fertilizers, there was no difference between organic and mineral fertilizer, but these were higher than witness. The reduction in bromatological forage quality was more related to the forage cycle characteristics. The production of total forage was two times higher in the consortium, the crude protein content was 1 .2 times higher with the presence of fertilization and there was no difference between organic and mineral fertilizers. Magnesium levels were 1 .3 times higher at the start of cultivation in the presence of organic fertilizer.
