The agroecological production help to preserve the natural resources and produce food. The study was developed in the west of Santa Catarina State, between the winter and summer harvest of 2011 to evaluate the sustainability of two systems with managed pastures through the Voisin’s Rational Grazing (SP VRG) compared to two pastures systems managed conventionally (PSC), besides the realization of the chemical and physical analyzes of the soil. The SP VRG showed higher means for the state of organic waste and color, odor and organic matter content in relation to PSC. With an analysis of grouping was possible to separate from the systems SP and SPC PRV, both in summer as in winter, showing that the evaluators had similar sensitivity when considering the attributes evaluated in each system. When considering the indicators together, the SP VRG also showed higher average. The quantitative evaluations are interrelated with the qualitative evaluation and the farmers have understanding of the status of their productive systems and help farmers to understand the agroecological processes that permeate the good performance of the managed pastures properly, as the case of the VRG, improving the soil quality.
