Abstract

The aim of this work was to study the similarity between the species of natural regeneration and the tree layer of located secondary vegetation in the municipality of Bragança, northeast of Pará. The comparison between natural regeneration and the tree layer was carried through the Index of Similarity of Sorensen. In natural regeneration the 69 species and 34 families had been showed to 1721 individuals, pertaining, and in the adult vegetation they had been registered 1308 trees, distributed in 35 families, 74 sorts and 103 species. A similarity occurred low (33.1%) enters the contained species in the tree layer and natural regeneration. 66 species exclusive of the layer tree had been found give which are distinguished: Annona Paludosa, Byrsonima chrysophylla and Myrciaria sp. On the other hand, species as Myrciaria tenella and Myrcia bracteata had in such a way presented high values of density in the tree layer how much in natural regeneration, what they very become them important in the studied environment.
