The discourse of domestic violence in life stories

The present article aims to account for the role of discourse in relation to the violation of human and social rights, showing the importance of linguistic-methodological tools in the discussion of alternatives to resolve these conflicts. In this work, we will analyze cases of domestic violence in life stories of people (pregnant women) who suffered it. The corpus is made up of 15 life stories. The theoretical framework is that of the Critical Discourse Analysis in its Latin American aspect and the methodology is qualitative. The results will be transferred to the different Family Courts, from which the legal statements come in Quilmes, Province of Buenos Aires. The preliminary results show that in the life stories the violence is, in most cases, naturalized.
