En una conferencia impartida en 2020 en el seminario Oxford Law and Equality Lecture, basada en lecturas y escritos interdisciplinarios sobre el derecho y la política racial en los Estados Unidos, el profesor Kendall Thomas presentó una descripción crítica de los ataques que la Teoría Crítica de la Raza sufrió la administración de Donald Trump y los grupos políticos de extrema derecha. La conferencia fue transcrita y traducida por Inara Flora Cipriano Firmino para el dossier de InSURgência "Derechos y relaciones raciales".
