O USO DE DICIONÁRIOS POR ADOLESCENTES EM UM COLÉGIO PARTICULAR

This paper describes a study carried out on teenagers in a Brazilian private school that encourages the use of dictionaries. Two questionnaires were administered: one to obtain information on the use of Portuguese dictionaries (42 informants) and the other on the use of foreign language dictionaries (47 informants). Despite the limitations of this kind of research, the data collected enabled a comparison of these two types of dictionaries regarding their use: purpose, frequency, location of use, and difficulties, thus, serving as a basis for future research.
