Peer-reviewing Process
All submissions are pre-evaluated by the editors, in order to identify whether they fall within the journal's scope and policies. Then, anonymous manuscripts are subjected to blind peer review (double blind), involving two reviewers (external to the Editorial Committee) who are members of the Editorial Board or by ad hoc consultants. Our Editorial Board is composed of doctors from several national and international universities. In order to be published, the texts need to receive two favorable opinions. If one of the opinions is contrary, the text is sent to another referee. Texts produced by invited authors are also submitted to the same evaluation process by reviewers external to the Editorial Committee (members of the Editorial Board or ad hoc consultants). After the analysis, the copy or compilation of the opinions is sent to the authors together with instructions for modifications, when applicable. Before being published, all texts are submitted to proofreaders, who suggest implementations of form. The changes are made / approved by the authors themselves. If there are more approved works than can be published in a certain issue of the magazine, those that have obtained the best evaluations by the reviewers may be chosen.
Frequency
Two annual issues are published. The first issue ends in June and the second in December each year.
Articles are published separately online in the publish-as-you-go mode (before the edition's closing date).
