This paper proves that Anselm’s and Descartes’s argument for the existence of God are respectively valid in classical first-order logic and in intuitionistic first-order logic. Contrarily to Anselm’s argument, Descartes avoids Kant’s criticism on the ontological argument, nevertheless, it is not correct for the reasons explained at the end of this paper.
