Author Biographies

Aline Zim

PhD in Architecture and Urbanism by the PPG of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Brasília (2018) in Theory, History and Criticism, in the Line of Aesthetics, Hermeneutics and Semiotics. Master by the PPG of the Faculty of Education of the University of Brasília (2008) in Education, Art and Communication. Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2001). She has experience in renovation projects and interior architecture. He worked at the Architecture and Urbanism Center (NAU), linked to the Extension Center of the Catholic University of Brasília (UCB), and in the project Olhares sobre Brasília, linked to the Research Project Observatory of Architecture and Urbanism (OAU/UCB). She was part of the organizing team for the 1st Brasília Cultural Heritage Conference 2013, the 2nd Brasília Cultural Heritage Conference 2014, the Exhibition Looks over Brasília at MAMB 2013, Regards sur Brasília - MAL Paris 2015. She is currently a professor of Theory and History of Architecture and Urbanism , Project, Landscape and Semiotics, Diploma I. She was a professor, coordinator and researcher in the Architecture and Urbanism course at the Catholic University of Brasília. She is part of the Center for Aesthetics, Hermeneutics and Semiotics (NEHS) and the Hybrid Landscapes research group at EBA / UFRJ. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Revista de Estética, Hermeneutica e Semiótica (RES) in the PPG of FAU / UnB and of the editorial board of the Revista da Arquitetura: Cidade e Habitação of UniCEUB. She is a member of Icomos Brasil and of the Scientific Technical Council of the Mural Art Committee and of the Scientific Initiation Committee of the University Center of Brasília (CEUB). She is a professor and researcher at the Master's Program in Architecture and Urbanism at the University Center of Brasília (CEUB) in the Line of Research in Theory, History and Design in Housing

Carolina Borges

Carolina Borges holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from PUC-GO, a master's and a doctorate in Theory and History of Architecture and Urbanism from FAU-UnB, with interstice at the Università degli Studi di Palermo. She is a professor in the Architecture and Urbanism course at the Catholic University of Brasília, teaching the disciplines of Theory and History of Art, Architecture and Urbanism and Architectural Project.

Fernando Fuão

Fernando Fuão holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Pelotas (1980), a PhD in Text and Context Architecture Projects from the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona-UPC (1987-92) with the thesis Architecture as Collage, Post-Doctor by the Graduate Program in Philosophy-UERJ under the supervision of Philosopher Dr. Dirce Solis (2011-12). Full Professor at the Faculty of Architecture. (UFRGS).

Flávio R. Kothe

He has a master's degree (FU-Berlin), a doctor's degree (USP) and a professorship (PUCCAMP) in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. He was a visiting professor at the Universities of Rostock, UFRGS and at the Institute of Advanced Studies at USP, and is currently a professor of Aesthetics at the University of Brasília, coordinator of the Center for Aesthetics, Hermeneutics and Semiotics at FAU/UnB, president of the Academy of Letters from Brazil. He is the author of more than 40 books and 450 publications as an essayist, translator, fiction writer and poet.

Laura Frossard Ribeiro Mendes

Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Brasília (UnB), doing a master's degree in the graduate program at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Brasília (FAU-UnB).
