This article aims to extract some elements from Georg Lukács' analysis of Soviet literary production, which narrates the historical experience of the struggle for Bolshevik power in the Russian civil war after 1917. In particular, it analyses Alexander Fadeiev's essay on the novel The nineteen. These elements reveal the critic's conception of literary realism, as well as his appreciation of the literary heritage of classical Russian realism for the development of further socialist realism.
