A poética da migração: narrativas orais açorianas na provincia de Ontário

This article deals with the poetic of migration, based on interviews with Azoreans who live in Cambridge, Canada. It is divided into three parts. In the first part, we focus on the relationship between migration and diaspora, thinking on the distinction and similarity of both processes. In the second part, based on the fact that migration speech has the latency of return, we analyze the poetic of oral narratives. Two myths are introduced in the poetic speech: the hero myth and the foundation myth. At the end, we demonstrate how the poetic of migration has a different meaning for the second generation of Azoreans migrants.
