It presents the debates established at the seminar "The Left in Today: Dialogues Latin America and Europe", held at the University of Brasília in October 2017. Organized in a thematic section, the seven articles and essays elaborated by different thinkers and thinkers in Latin America reflect on the role of the leftists before the ideological rebalancing represented by the electoral rise of radical fractions of the right in several nations of the world. They are texts that analyze, therefore, the flaws, virtues, limits and challenges of the world left in an initial scenario of re-signification of the ideological political spectrum in which the right moves rapidly and becomes main protagonist of the political game in several countries
