Abstract

This article aims to establish a comparison between Chinese and Brazilian actions in generating innovation in their respective productive sectors, focusing on investments in research and development, R&D, in these countries. The comparison is established through the presentation of quantitative data associated with the description of the structural framework and environment to encourage investments in both countries. It has been the assumption that both countries consider R&D as part of a political strategy dedicated to developing, as key points in political strategy, economic and social pursued by Brazil and China.
