Abstract

In this paper, we present the construction of an analog synthesizer that produces sounds with variable characteristics and also present preliminary results of a survey of Social Representations regarding the Timbre of sound through the Free Association of Words Technique (FWAT) and the construction of a Semantic Network of Similarities. The present research is a preliminary step in the construction of a didactic sequence for teaching acoustics that will be part of the instructional material for a Master's program in Physics Teaching. The teaching proposal is anchored in the Interdisciplinary Islands of Rationality and includes specific student actions in its development, pointing out the use of specialties and experts, as suggested by its proponents.
