Resenha - La historia de las Religiones en la Argentina ”“ Las Minorias Religiosas
Abstract
O livro “La historia de las Religiones en la Argentina ”“ Las Minorias Religiosas” apresenta, desde a perspectiva histórica, um panorama geral do campo religioso argentino. Embora a autora procure traçar este panorama de forma ampla, englobando as três religiões do Livro (Judaísmo, Islamismo e Cristianismo), religiões orientais e os novos movimentos religiosos, a análise mais detalhada recai sobre as histórias do protestantismo e do judaísmo. A partir do questionamento do mito de que “ser argentino é ser católico”, resgata-se o papel de diferentes expressões religiosas no processo de ruptura com a perspectiva colonial de que a unanimidade religiosa deveria ser cristã e católica romana. Estas diferentes expressões religiosas, embora minoritárias, foram fundamentais para a consolidação de um campo religioso autônomo, relevante para impulsionar a secularização e para a formação de um país plural.
