Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in DOCX for Microsoft Word.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

All texts (articles, essays, reviews, interviews etc.) will be subject to the approval of the Editorial Board, which will be based on two favorable opinions for publication by ad hoc reviewers in the double blind review format. Any suggestions for modifications will be previously agreed with the author responsible for submitting the work. Articles written in Portuguese, English or Spanish will be accepted. Other languages ​​may be accepted upon approval by the Editorial Board.
 
Articles and essays must comply with the following standardization:
 
1. Maximum of 30 (thirty) pages, with top margin 3.0; bottom margin 2.0; left margin 3.0; and right margin 2.0; all numbered, saved in Word for Windows with 1.5 line spacing. The title must be in Times New Roman font 16 (sixteen) bold (do not use all caps) and left-aligned. The body of the text should be in Times New Roman font 12 (twelve), subtitles in Times New Roman font 12, bold (do not use all caps) and without numbering. Do not use spacing between paragraphs, with a 1.25 cm indent on the first line;
 
2. At the end of the article, include four keywords and a 200-word abstract in Portuguese, English and Spanish, containing a summary of the purposes, methods used and main conclusions of the work. Abstracts should be written in Times New Roman font 10, single-spaced; and
 
3. Direct quotations longer than 3 lines in the text should be highlighted in a separate paragraph, highlighted in a smaller font, with a 2.5 cm indent, single-spaced and font 10.
 
Book Reviews must follow the guidelines below:
 
1. They must be written based on books that address themes relevant to the Focus and Scope of the Journal. It is recommended that the chosen books be no more than 3 years old from the date of their publication; and
 
2. Maximum of 10 (ten) pages, with top margin 3.0; bottom margin 2.0; left margin 3.0; and right margin 2.0; all numbered, saved in Word for Windows with line spacing of 1.5. The title must be in Times New Roman font 16 (sixteen) bold (do not use all caps) aligned to the left. The body of the text must be in Times New Roman font 12 (twelve), subtitles in Times New Roman font 12 bold (do not use all caps) and without numbering. Do not use spacing between paragraphs, with an indentation in the first line of 1.25 cm.
 
Interviews must follow the guidelines below:
 
1. Maximum of 20 (twenty) pages, with top margin 3.0; bottom margin 2.0; left margin 3.0; and right margin 2.0; all numbered, saved in Word for Windows with 1.5 line spacing. The title should be in Times New Roman font 16 (sixteen) bold (do not use capital letters) aligned to the left. The body of the text should be in Times New Roman font 12 (twelve), subtitles in Times New Roman font 12 bold (do not use capital letters) and without numbering. Do not use spacing between paragraphs, with a 1.25 cm indent on the first line.; and
 
2. At the end of the interview, include four keywords and a 200-word summary in Portuguese, English and Spanish, containing a summary of the interviewee's resume, objectives of the interview and main points discussed.
 
Thematic dossiers must follow the guidelines below:
 
1. The REPAM Editorial Committee understands a thematic dossier as a set of works related to a common subject of investigation, whether essayistic or analytical in nature, resulting from original studies and research. The authors who will compose the thematic dossier must come from different institutions and countries of the proponents, avoiding their concentration in certain institutions, regions or countries, and encouraging broad international participation;
 
2. The thematic dossier must be organized by two (minimum) or three (maximum) proponents and the text of the proposal must be submitted to repam-ela@unb.br. The text of the proposal must contain the title and subtitle, when applicable, clearly define the objectives, justification and relationship of the subject of investigation with the "Focus and Scope" of the Journal, as well as present topics that will compose the call for the dossier. The proposal text must not exceed 600 words and must be written in the three languages ​​published by the Journal: Portuguese, Spanish and English;
 
3. The proposers of the thematic dossier will have their dossier approved for publication when at least four of the submitted works are approved by the ad hoc evaluators using the double blind review methodology. In the event of rejection of the composition of the dossier due to failure to meet the minimum number of four articles, those articles proposed by the organizers that are approved will be published individually;
 
4. The proposers of the dossier will be invited to act as co-editors of the issue, collaborating with the REPAM Board of Directors in the editorial process of the respective issue.
 
Bibliographical references should appear in the text itself, with the author's last name mentioned, accompanied by the year of publication and page number, when necessary.

Bibliographical references must be listed at the end of the work, in alphabetical order, observing the following rules:

AUTHOR'S LAST NAME (in capital letters), Author's name. Book title (in italics). Edition number (if not the first). Translation (if the work is translated). Place of publication, Publisher's name, year of publication.

Place of publication: Name of the publisher, year of publication, page range of the chapter.

Includes databases, discussion lists, computer programs, social networks, electronic messages, among others. The essential elements are: author, title of the information or service or product, version or edition (if any), location, date and physical description of the electronic medium. When necessary, complementary elements are added to the reference to better identify the document.
