Abstract

One of the factors responsible for the success of the soybean crop produced with agroecological management is the seeds with high vigor, which can be influenced by storage conditions of seeds. This study aimed to evaluate the physiological quality of four batches of soybean seeds produced under agroecological management that were kept in paper and plastic packages in the growth room (17 ± 2ºC, 55 % RU) and under not controlled conditions environment during storage for 150 and 200 days. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design with four replications for each treatment, in a 4 x 2 x 2 x 2 factorial design. The physiological potential of the seeds were evaluated through the first count test, germination, accelerated aging, emergency speed index, length and dry weight of shoot and root parts. Soybeanseeds produced under agroecological management can be stored in paper or plastic package in climate chamber up to 150 days. In uncontrolled conditions of temperature and relative humidity, the storage of the seeds should be conducted in paper packaging.
