El Desarrollo de la habilidad para manejar tiempos verbales en la narración

O objetivo deste trabalho é estudar a maneira como crianças em idade escolar utilizam os tempos verbais na narração. Com essa finalidade, realiza-se uma análise dos verbos no indicativo produzidos em 208 narrações orais infantis, obtidas em duas situações distintas: formal (24 narrações) e informal (184 relatos). Os dados provêm de uma amostra integrada por 24 crianças de 6, 9 e 12 anos, alunos de duas escolas distintas. Os resultados mostram a crescente capacidade da criança para orientar o ouvinte sobre os eventos que constituem a narração, o ‘então’, e os que pertencem à conversação, o ‘agora’. Além disso, indicam o desenvolvimento da habilidade para combinar os tempos verbais com o fim de tomar em conta as expectativas do ouvinte e de organizar o texto em estruturas narrativas maiores.
