We present to our readers volume 25(1) of the Latin American Journal of Discourse Studies. In this issue, we have the opportunity to explore the research of ten scholars, brought together in eight articles that comprise the dossier "Discourse Studies and De(s)coloniality", which examines the intersections between discourse studies and decolonial theories. Each article contributes to the understanding of how discourse analysis can aid in the comprehension and transformation of colonial and postcolonial power relations in Latin America. In addition to the eight articles in the dossier, we include two academic contributions from the journal’s regular submission process, thus completing this first volume of the year 2025.
