The topic Communicational Accessibility is di - rectly connected to the concept of Museum Communication substantiated by the new muse - ology, whose aim is to increase the dialogue and the public involvement with the cultural object by mediation strategies that offer conditions for all publics, specially people with disabilities, to decode its contents and, therefore, to conquer the right to recognize themselves as part of this cultural heritage. This essay demonstrates that no mediation strategy between the cultural and the people with disabilities will be efficient if it is not by a previously developed communicational and attitudinal a concept of accessibility, included as institutional and interdisciplinary policy of all the museums and cultural bodies of these institutions.
