This review discusses the main arguments contained in the book Marxism and law: selected works, a collection that seeks to rescue the main ideas contained in the work of Evguiéni Pachukanis. The texts address different perspectives based on the relationship between Marxist theory and legal practice, covering topics such as the role of the State in socialism, the organization of the proletarian class and the insufficiency of normativism and bourgeois law. In the second part, four articles authored by Pashukanis revisit fundamental points of the The General theory of law and Marxism. The conclusion reflects how the Soviet jurist's ideas were received and incorporated in Latin America, as well as highlighting the relevance of new proposals and the urgent need to revisit his writings.
