In spite of the fact that S. Kierkegaard himself recognized having been a Hegelian and that his own contemporaries held him as such, his thought has remained in history as one of the most anti-hegelian forces. The dominant historiographic reception has acritically assumed the model of an existentialspeculative dualism, which considers Kierkegaard as the thinker of subjective experience and Hegel as the ally of an abstract and empty concept. The following pages intend to contribute to the rectification of this speculative misunderstanding, whose consequences make contemporary confusion ever deeper. Contrary to the image of an antiHegelian Kierkegaard, I will try to show the profound influence of Hegel´s thought on Kierkegaardian Existentialism, influence manifested in the categories of spirit, dialectics, idea, reduplication, and relational unity, among others.
