From a renewed interpretation of the tool-analysis of Heidegger, the text argues for a philosophy of objects in order to undo the centrality of the human in continental philosophy and to open a door to a new metaphysical realism. The main argument is that objects are not exhaustible by any relations in which they are inserted and cannot therefore be reduced to any of them. Thus, the relations established by humans with objects have no exceptionality over other forms of non-human interobjective relations. This leads to some considerations about what objects are and how they behave.
